Kim Griffith

LPCC

Kim Griffith, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, feels daily gratitude to be privy to such delicate and personal information shared by her clients. She uses this information to establish the rapport needed for clients to trust the therapy process and ultimately make behavioral changes…a.k.a “getting unstuck” in their lives.

Kim uses a variety of interventions stemming from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. In sessions, Kim explains the purpose of interventions, demonstrates them, allows clients to practice in session and encourages the application of the interventions for homework.  She works collaboratively with her clients to track progress and gathers feedback each session regarding what is helpful and unhelpful for her clients.

Kim has worked in a variety of settings which include community mental health, college campuses, and residential treatment.  She has a special interest in working with clients struggling with college transitions, relationship issues, eating disorders and a variety of anxiety disorders.  Kim previously designed and facilitated a social anxiety group for young adults, which yielded successful outcomes.

Kim has a love for dogs, music, travel and spending time with family and friends.  She also enjoys joking around and considers herself to be very humorous, but we’ll let you be the judge!
