We’ve worked with couples who have been together for a short amount time, and those who have been together for many years. Our goal in every scenario is to help you and your partner develop the skills needed to relate to each other more effectively.
Our therapists use Gottman Method Couples Therapy, an evidence-based treatment that incorporates proven assessment techniques and interventions. Gottman Method Couples Therapy is a highly effective approach based on decades of research with more than 3,000 couples. All of our couples therapists have completed at least Level 1 Gottman Training.
During counseling, we focus on the unit and gain an understanding of any challenges you face from a systemic perspective. Our counseling services are typically solution-focused with specific and attainable therapeutic goals. It’s designed with “the end in mind,” and not intended to be long-term.

What makes your couples counseling program unique?
All of our clinicians have completed Level I training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. The Gottman Method is an evidence based approach that incorporates proven assessment techniques and interventions.
Q: What should I know prior to couples counseling?
A: Before your first session, you will complete the Gottman Relationship Check-up which is an online assessment. We also request that you carefully read the Couples Counseling Contract and the No Secrets Policy. Come prepared with questions and with goals in mind for your therapy.

What does your assessment process consist of?
Our thorough assessment is a three-session process. Couples complete the Relationship Check-Up prior to their first session. In the first session the couple will meet together with the counselor to share their problems and concerns. During the second session, the counselor will meet individually with each member of the couple for part of the session. The couple will receive feedback in their third session to aid in development of their individualized plan for treatment.

Q: How much does couples counseling cost?
A: Every couple and every scenario is different. The first step is contacting our office to discuss your needs with our Director of Family Programs. All sessions are 90 minutes. The initial evaluation appointment is $225 and all follow-up sessions are $175.
